The Medica team showcases the new EasyRA chemistry analyzer.

It’s time again for the Medica exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany. This year we will be showing two products due for release in early 2008: EasyRA and EasyStat Cl. Visit us in Hall 3, the Massachusetts Pavilion, Stand 3F16.
The release of EasyRA is the most exciting new product in the history of the company. We have all been waiting eagerly for this new biochemistry analyzer, and I believe once you see it perform you will agree that it’s been worth the wait. Stop at our Medica booth and ask for a demonstration, since an EasyRA will be on display.
We are also introducing the latest version of the successful EasyStat blood gas analyzer. We added the capability to switch between Ca and Cl on a single platform. We had many requests for this feature, and I’m sure it will boost EasyStat sales in all territories.
I will be at our booth all day, along with Ms. Charlene Soley (Product Manager) and Mr. Doug Moe (VP Business Development). Please visit us to see what’s new, or just say hello.

Randall Rollins (center, green shirt), Medica’s Technical Service Manager, visited Istanbul in May. Thirty-one representatives from Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East and Asia attended the regional service training session.
Randall also visited area hospitals. Shown below are Arzum Keskin, Sales Manager for Labora, Hande Akman, Labora’s Operation Manager, and a staff member.

Nearing final stages of development is Medica’s first, true random access, clinical chemistry analyzer, “EasyRA.” Offering the reliability of larger instruments, EasyRA will be an easy-to-use, economical, bench-top design. EasyRA is fully automated, with 24 sample positions and 24 reagents on board, designed to accommodate the diverse needs of the physician’s office or small lab. Look for EasyRA at AACC San Diego in July.

Medica joined over 2,000 companies from 70 countries at the Middle East’s largest health care trade show, Arab Health, January 29-February 1.

Doug Moe, VP of Business Development, Randall Rollins, Technical Service Manager, and Charlene Soley, Product Manager, visited the Medica Dusseldorf trade show (www.medica.de), November 15-18, 2006.
Doug and Charlene (above) and Randall visited with distributors regarding potential new business and existing products. Distributors are looking forward to the release of Medica’s new clinical chemistry analyzer, where they see a great opportunity to address the international market, especially emerging nations.

Vice President of Sales Kevin McCollum visited Vietnam in October. Shown are Medica’s EasyLyte and EasyBloodGas analyzers in use at Peoples’ Hospital #115 in Ho Chi Minh City.

Randall Rollins, Medica’s Technical Service Manager, recently hosted regional service training in Singapore. Eleven dealers and a total of twenty-two participants attended (above). Randall also visited Transasia, Medica’s dealer in India, for service training. Below are employees from Transasia with staff of the Rushabh Path Lab in Mumbai. The lab, directed by Niti Bhatia, is shown with Medica’s EasyLytePLUS in use.

Another AACC meeting has come and gone. It was a good meeting and I had a chance to meet with many of Medica’s international distributors. We showed two new products that are on schedule to be released in the first quarter 2007: EZRA, a new bench-top chemistry analyzer, and a new hematology imaging system called EasyCell.
Both products were well received. Booth traffic was busy every day as attendees lined up to take a look at EZRA and EasyCell. We learned a great deal from our future customers about what they require in a small bench-top chemistry analyzer. I believe all concluded that EZRA will be a great success.
See you at the next show!
